Good news from Rio: We’re two years away from the next World Youth Day and the Pontifical Council for the Laity (PCL) announced the dates for WYD. It will take place from the 23rd until 28th of July 2013.
All this week the Archbishop of Rio Joao Orani Tempesta and some members of the national committee of WYD Rio 2013 had meetings with the PCL to decide on important details.
During these meetings the National Committee presented to the Vatican all the initiatives they have developed to promote and build up this big event.
There is more to be excited. In this week of meetings the PCL made their decision about the WYD Rio logo. The National committee will reveal the logo shortly. As WYD Central had told you there was a contest for this logo.
The clock is already counting down! In 587 days the biggest party of Catholic youth will begin, this time driven by Samba rhythms.
