WYD 2013 looks for all hands on deck

Today the National Office for WYD Rio2013 announced that registration for volunteers is now open.

The volunteer registration was made public during the “Feira de providencia”, an annual fund raising fair in Rio. In December online registration will begin on the official WYD Rio website

But for now if you want to know more there is an email address: volunt@rio2013.com, where you can send a message to find out more. Each language group has a designated contact, for English speaking pilgrims it is Pedro and for French it is Lorena. You can also ask them about a PDF magazine that speaks about the volunteer experience and all the things volunteers need to know to work on WYD.

The volunteer department is already busy with the preparation for WYD. Last weekend they took part of Halleluya festival, a Catholic music festival, where were thousands of people in the Parque da Boavista in Rio

Already, the National Office has 24 volunteers with the most of them coming from a communications background.
